Firemaster Roasting Sticks


The neat, clean part comes in the package and eliminates possible injury from the use of knives and hatchets or the worry of not knowing if the sap in the branch you cut is safe. The sticks are reusable hundreds of times and take only minutes to clean. The extra-long wooden handle leaves plenty of room for adults to help little ones and the long steel rod keeps you a safe distance from the fire.

The profitable part is the high margin and the small shelf space required. The sticks are packaged two to a cardboard sleeve and are designed to hang from hooks in different areas of the store. One 8-inch J-Hook will hold (10) packages of sticks. At a $4.99 retail, the hook will generate up to $52.80 profit per case of 24-2 packs. Not bad for a single J-Hook.


SBC Firemaster has supplied bulk sticks to service stations, campgrounds and convenience stores for three seasons. The results are excellent with individual store sales ranging from 250-4000 units per season. In 1993 we developed a quality package containing two sticks designed for departmental displays in larger stores with outdoor and camping departments as well as grocery sections. In 1994, we introduced a stand-alone, refillable display unit. The 24 count cases of 2-packs fit perfectly in this display unit which can be refilled over and over again.
